How to Get from Dubai to Courchevel

The travel route is relatively simple as you can fly from the UAE to the French and Swiss alps.

Once you arrive in Europe, you then need to take a ski transfer to Courchevel ski resort

Flying from Dubai to Courchevel

The best airport to get to Courchevel is Geneva. This sits right on the Swiss-French border and is a 2 hour 30 minute drive from the ski resort.

It offers the most regular arrivals to the surrounding mountains giving you plenty of flexibility and airline choices. There are very few direct flights from Dubai to Geneva, you will usually need to connect in Istanbul, Jeddah, Kuwait, Paris, or London. The total flight time including connection is 11 to 12 hours.

You might also consider flying direct from Abu Dhabi to Geneva on Etihad Airways. It is just a short drive from Dubai to Abu Dhabi to start your journey.

For more arrival options you can look at Lyon and Grenoble which are less than 3 hours from Courchevel. The small international airport of Chambery opens for skiers in the winter and is a 1 hour drive from the ski resort, but very few flight paths go from Dubai to Chambery.

Ski Transfers from the Airport

Once you arrive at an airport like Geneva, you’ll need to take a transfer to Courchevel. This usually involves a 2 hour 30 minute drive. You can choose between a shared or private transfer. 

A private transfer driver greets you at the arrivals gate and takes you directly to your hotel or chalet.

A shared transfer offers set times as you will be grouped with other travellers. You might have to wait for others to arrive or drive further as you stop to drop people off en route.

If you don’t fancy the drive, you could book a helicopter transfer to fly from the international airport to the Courchevel Altiport. This is a private airport which is right on the slopes just minutes from Courchevel 1850.

The Courchevel Altiport allows you to arrive by jet or helicopter! It is not open to commercial flights, so it’s a way to arrive in style. The journey time will be much quicker by private charter and you will avoid long drives from the airport.
